Sustainable Construction
Lorem ipsum dolor...
Engineers and designers, together with their experience in general, solve this job with the help of computer programs used recently, but this is very important in terms of practicality.
It is the most widely used SI unit system (System International) in the world.
These;
1. Length unit = Meter (m)
2. Mass unit = Kilogram (Kg)
3.Time unit = Seconds (s)
4. Current unit = Amps (A)
5.Temperature unit = Kelvin (K)
6.Light intensity = unit of Kandil (cd)
7.Unit quantity of substance = Mole (mol)
FORCE
The most important element in engineering is FORCE. Because in all machine designs, the force varies while transferring, and the units change accordingly. Force change is defined by Newton's second law. Newton's second law: The force acting on the mass is equal to the product of the mass and the acceleration of that mass. Formula: F = mxa.
m = Mass (Kg)
a = acceleration (m / s2)
F = Force (Kg-m / sn2)
The unit of force (Kg-m / sec2) is called Newton (N) because Newton is the father of the name.
For this reason, force unit F = Force (N) is defined.
A common mistake regarding the force unit is to think that the force created by a 1 Kg mass is 1 N. To avoid this error, let's use the formula for the force.
Example-1: How much force does 2 Kg of mass apply to your palm?
Solution: Mass: m = 2 Kg.
Acceleration: a = 9.8 m / sec2 (The mass on the earth is affected by the acceleration of gravity. If we had lived on the moon, the force created by this mass would have been different.)
F (N) = 2 (Kg) x 9.8 (m / s2)
= 19 .6 (Kg-m / sn2) = 19.6 (N)
BUSINESS
Description of work: force x path stop. If you have applied a great force to an object and did not make a path, you would not do any work.
Let's just follow the formula:
W = F (N) x L (m)
= FxL (N-m)
According to this formula;
F = Force (N)
L = Road (m)
W = Work (N-m).
As a result of the work done, the English scientist who found that there was heat due to friction in general, took the name Joule.
W = Work (J) is defined as the unit of work.
POWER
Power: means the work produced in a certain unit of time.
Formula:
POWER = WORK / TIME.
If you are doing single work at a specified time, you are creating a high power.
P = W (J) / T (sn)
= W / T (J / sec)
According to the formula:
W = Work (J)
T = Time (sec)
P = Power (J / sec)
It is named after James Watt, who discovered the steam engine. (Watt) is used instead of (J / sec).
Power unit P = Power (W) is used.
ENERGY
The power used in the specified time period is called energy.
Formula:
ENERGY = POWER x TIME.
The longer you use power, the greater your energy.
In the definition of energy, 1000 Watt, that is 1 Kilowatt, corresponds to 3600 seconds, that is 1 hour, as a unit of Time.
E = Ῥ (Kw) x Ƭ (hour)
= ῬxƬ (Kw-Hour)
Ῥ = power in kilowatt units (KW)
Ƭ = Time in hour (Hour)
PRESSURE
It is the effect of a definite force on a given area in a homogeneous manner.
Formula:
PRESSURE = FORCE / FIELD.
PRESSURE = F (N) / A (m2)
= F / A (N / m2)
According to this formula:
F = Force (N)
A = Area (m2)
p = Pressure (N / m2)
Again, the reason why the unit got a different name was named after the scientist Pascal because of his work on the buoyancy forces. It was defined as Pascal (Pa) instead of N / m2.
